Refund & Cancellation Policy
At Mr. Handy Steve’s Home Services, I believe in treating every customer fairly and respectfully. This policy keeps things transparent and ensures we can serve all our customers efficiently - while protecting your time and mine.
1. Overview
At Mr. Handy Steve’s Home Services, every project is backed by the Mr. Handy Steve Standard — honest communication, fair pricing, and quality workmanship.
Because most services involve time, travel, and materials that begin preparation before your appointment, we maintain the following refund and cancellation policy to keep things fair for both customers and technicians.
2. Cancellations

Free Cancellation:
You may cancel or reschedule your appointment up to 24 hours before your scheduled arrival window with no penalty.

Same-Day Cancellations:
Cancellations made within 24 hours of your appointment may be subject to a $50 late cancellation fee to cover lost time and travel.

No-Show Appointments:
If I arrive and can’t access your home or reach you within 15 minutes of arrival, the visit will be marked as a No-Show and the full service call minimum ($125) will be charged.
3. Refunds

Service Deposits:
Some services may require a deposit or prepayment to secure your appointment.

Deposits are fully refundable if you cancel at least 24 hours in advance.

Deposits are non-refundable for same-day cancellations or no-shows.

Workmanship Guarantee:
All workmanship is covered under The Mr. Handy Steve Guarantee - if something isn’t right due to our work, we’ll make it right at no additional labor cost.
Once work has begun, refunds aren’t typically issued, but I’ll always work with you to find a fair solution.

Parts and Materials:
Parts or materials purchased specifically for your job are non-refundable once installed or used. If unopened and returnable to the vendor, a partial refund may be arranged (less any supplier restocking fees).
4. Rescheduling
We know life happens. You can reschedule your appointment anytime using your confirmation email or by contacting us directly:

There’s no fee to reschedule with at least 24 hours’ notice.
5. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 3–5 business days. If you booked through a third-party platform (such as Wix, Square, or other marketplace), refund timing may vary based on their policies.
