Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: August 20, 2026
Last Updated: August 20, 2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of MrHandySteve.com and your requests for services from Mr. Handy Steve’s Home Services (“Mr. Handy Steve,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By using this website, requesting an estimate, scheduling an appointment, or booking a service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or submit a booking request.

1. Website Information
Information on this website is provided for general informational and scheduling purposes. Service descriptions, prices, availability, estimated durations, and other website information may change.
Photographs and examples represent types of projects we may perform. They do not guarantee that every project can be completed in the same manner, at the same price, or within the same timeframe.
Website content is not professional engineering, architectural, electrical, plumbing, structural, legal, or code-compliance advice.

2. Service Requests and Appointment Confirmation
Submitting a form, selecting an appointment time, or clicking “Book Now” does not automatically create a final service contract.

An appointment is confirmed only after Mr. Handy Steve accepts the request and, when necessary, reviews the project details, photographs, location, materials, access requirements, and requested work.

We may decline, postpone, modify, or refer a project when:
-
The work is outside our service area or service scope;
-
Required information has not been provided;
-
Site conditions make the work unsafe or impractical;
-
Required permits or approvals are unavailable;
-
The project requires a licensed contractor or specialty-trade professional;
-
Appropriate materials or replacement parts are unavailable; or
-
Scheduling, weather, emergencies, or other circumstances prevent performance.

3. Estimates, Quotes, and Starting Prices
Website prices described as “starting at,” “from,” “typical,” or as a range are estimates only. They are not guaranteed final prices.

Final pricing may depend on factors including:
-
Project size and complexity;
-
Site and wall conditions;
-
Existing wiring, plumbing, framing, mounting surfaces, or previous repairs;
-
Required preparation, troubleshooting, removal, disposal, or cleanup;
-
Customer-selected products and materials;
-
Travel, parking, access, or special equipment;
-
Permit, inspection, or third-party requirements; and
-
Conditions that could not reasonably be identified before work began.

A written estimate or quote is based on the information available when it is prepared. If the customer’s description, photographs, measurements, or site conditions are incomplete or inaccurate, pricing and scheduling may change.

Any material change to the requested work will be discussed with the customer before the additional work is performed whenever reasonably possible.

4. Service Scope and Licensing
Mr. Handy Steve’s Home Services performs handyman and home-maintenance services that may lawfully be performed within the applicable scope of work.

We do not represent that every service request can be performed without a permit, contractor license, or specialty-trade license. Work requiring a licensed contractor, permit, inspection, engineer, architect, electrician, plumber, HVAC contractor, or other qualified professional will not be performed unless the person performing that work is properly authorized and qualified.

We may recommend that the customer contact an appropriately licensed professional when a project falls outside our lawful or insured service scope.

Nothing on this website should be interpreted as an offer to perform regulated contracting work without the qualifications required by Florida or local law.

5. Customer Responsibilities
The customer agrees to:
-
Provide accurate project descriptions, measurements, photographs, and property information;
-
Disclose known damage, hazards, leaks, defective wiring, pests, mold, asbestos, structural problems, code issues, or other relevant conditions;
-
Provide safe and reasonable access to the work area;
-
Keep children, pets, tenants, guests, and unnecessary personnel away from the active work area;
-
Secure valuables and fragile items near the work area;
-
Obtain any required landlord, property-manager, condominium, homeowners’ association, or other third-party approval;
-
Identify concealed utilities or conditions known to the customer; and
-
Ensure that customer-supplied products, fixtures, parts, mounts, hardware, and materials are suitable for the intended use.

The customer represents that they own the property or have authority from the owner to approve the requested work.

6. Customer-Supplied Products and Materials
We are not responsible for manufacturing defects, missing parts, incorrect specifications, incompatibility, inadequate instructions, recalls, or failures involving products or materials supplied by the customer.
Additional time required because of missing, defective, unsuitable, or incomplete customer-supplied items may affect the price or require rescheduling.

Manufacturer warranties remain the responsibility of the manufacturer or retailer.

7. Payment
Payment terms will be stated in the applicable booking, estimate, proposal, or invoice.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
-
Payment is due upon completion of the authorized work;
-
Deposits may be required for materials, reserved scheduling, or larger projects;
-
Additional authorized work will be added to the final invoice; and
-
The customer is responsible for applicable taxes, approved materials, and disclosed project expenses.
If a deposit or advance payment is required, its refundability and application will be explained before payment.

Customers should raise billing questions promptly so they can be reviewed and resolved.

8. Scheduling, Access, and Delays
Arrival windows and completion times are estimates. We make reasonable efforts to communicate delays, but exact arrival or completion times are not guaranteed.

Appointments may be affected by traffic, weather, emergencies, prior projects, product availability, unsafe conditions, illness, or events outside our reasonable control.

If we cannot safely access the property or begin the authorized work, the appointment may need to be rescheduled.

9. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Customers should provide as much notice as reasonably possible when canceling or rescheduling.
Any cancellation fee, nonrefundable material charge, deposit condition, or rescheduling requirement must be disclosed through the booking process, estimate, invoice, or applicable Refund Policy.
Nothing in these Terms limits a cancellation, refund, or consumer right that cannot legally be waived. Transactions qualifying as home-solicitation sales or otherwise subject to a statutory cancellation period will be handled according to applicable law and any required written notice.

10. Changes and Unforeseen Conditions
Once work begins, concealed or unforeseen conditions may be discovered. Examples include damaged framing, deteriorated drywall, hidden plumbing or wiring, water damage, corrosion, unsuitable mounting surfaces, previous improper work, missing components, or code and safety concerns.

When practical, we will explain the condition and obtain approval before performing additional chargeable work.

If continuing would be unsafe, unlawful, or outside our service scope, we may stop work until the condition is corrected or an appropriately qualified professional is consulted.

11. Workmanship Concerns
If you believe there is a problem with our workmanship, contact us promptly and provide a reasonable opportunity to inspect the work. When appropriate, we will determine whether corrective work falls within the original authorized scope.
This does not cover:
-
Normal wear and tear;
-
Misuse, abuse, neglect, accidents, or unauthorized modifications;
-
Product or manufacturer defects;
-
Customer-supplied materials or fixtures;
-
Pre-existing or concealed conditions;
-
Work performed or altered by another person; or
-
Conditions outside the original authorized scope.

The Triple Trust Pledge describes our service values and commitment to honest communication. It is not an unlimited warranty or guarantee of a particular result in every circumstance.

12. Property Protection and Existing Conditions
We take reasonable precautions to protect the work area and customer property.
The customer acknowledges that home-repair and installation work can reveal or interact with pre-existing conditions that were not visible beforehand. We are not responsible for damage caused solely by concealed defects, deteriorated materials, prior improper work, inaccurate customer information, or conditions we could not reasonably identify before beginning.

Nothing in these Terms excludes responsibility that cannot legally be limited, including responsibility arising from gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

13. Photographs and Project Documentation
We may photograph the work area when reasonably necessary to document existing conditions, prepare an estimate, record project progress, or address a service concern.

Photographs that identify the customer, reveal private personal information, or clearly identify a private residence will not be used publicly for advertising without appropriate permission.
Customers may decline nonessential marketing photography by notifying us before work begins.

14. Communications
By providing a phone number or email address in connection with a service request, you authorize us to contact you about that request, including scheduling, estimates, arrival updates, invoices, follow-up, and related customer-service matters.

Service-related communications are different from promotional marketing.
Marketing emails or promotional text messages will be sent only in accordance with applicable law and the consent or preferences collected from the customer. Consent to marketing is not a condition of purchasing services. Customers may withdraw marketing consent using the unsubscribe instructions provided or by contacting us.

Standard message and data rates may apply to text messages.

15. Reviews and Feedback
Customers may provide honest feedback about their experience.
If you submit a testimonial, review, photograph, or other content directly to us for promotional use, you represent that the content is truthful and that you have the right to provide it. We will not knowingly alter feedback in a way that materially misrepresents the customer’s experience.

Reviews submitted to Google, Facebook, Yelp, Nextdoor, or other platforms are also governed by those platforms’ terms.

16. Third-Party Services
This website may use or link to third-party services, including Wix, payment processors, scheduling services, Google, social-media platforms, maps, review services, and communication providers.

We do not control every third-party platform and are not responsible for its availability, content, security practices, or independent terms. Use of third-party services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies.

17. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy.

Please do not submit highly sensitive personal, financial, medical, or identity information through ordinary website forms, chat tools, text messages, or email unless specifically requested through an appropriate secure process.

18. Website Availability
We do not guarantee that the website, booking tools, chat features, or third-party integrations will always be uninterrupted, current, secure, or error-free.

If an online booking or message does not receive confirmation, contact us directly at (407) 753-6110 or help@mrhandysteve.com.

19. Intellectual Property
The Mr. Handy Steve name, logo, original photographs, written content, graphics, service descriptions, and other original website materials are owned by or licensed to Mr. Handy Steve’s Home Services.

Website materials may not be copied, republished, sold, impersonated, or used commercially without written permission, except as allowed by law.

20. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, this website and its content are provided on an “as available” basis without guarantees regarding uninterrupted availability or suitability for a visitor’s particular project.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mr. Handy Steve’s Home Services will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising solely from use of the website or inability to access an online feature.

Project-specific responsibility will be determined by the applicable estimate, authorization, invoice, facts, and law. Nothing in these Terms waives rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived.

21. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Before beginning formal legal proceedings, the parties are encouraged to communicate in good faith and attempt to resolve the matter directly, unless immediate action is reasonably necessary or the law provides otherwise.

22. Relationship to Project Documents
These website Terms do not replace a project-specific estimate, proposal, invoice, written authorization, change order, statutory notice, or other service agreement.
If a project-specific written agreement conflicts with these Terms, the project-specific agreement controls for that project. Applicable law controls over both.

23. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
Our failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not permanently waive that provision.

24. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as our services, website, or legal obligations change. The current version will be posted on this page with its effective date.
Changes apply prospectively unless otherwise required by law.
